Unity Asset Server Browser

Everyone loves source code browsing, and thanks to Matthew Wegner over at Flashbang Studios we can do that with our Unity Asset Server. He created the original version of this and released it onto the world to be used and abused, and sometimes, in our case, improved. We’ve taken this web application and extended the functionality to fit our needs, and hopefully it will go on to help others as well. Setting this up on your own web server is not for the faint of heart, and you probably should be able to recompile your PHP install as if you are like us, you’ll be missing some modules.

Some of the new features include:

  • User Logins
  • Config file, seperate from code
  • User authentication system
  • Secure RSS Feeds
  • Project names are now displayed how they are registered in Unity
  • Project Names/Databases are cached
  • All pages share a dropdown for project selection

There is so much more that really could be done, but this is one of those things that we work on when we have a demand or reason to add a feature. So if you are feeling energetic and want to improve the project, fork it!
